The Free Britney movement was at it’s most prominent in summer of 2021 when Britney’s 13 year conservatorship came to an end.
Britney thanked her fans in court and in her first few social media posts after the hearing. She shared videos of her flying in a plane and driving her car – two things she wasn’t allowed to do prior.
And now? Almost radio silence.
I say almost, because her Instagram and TikTok are both still very active. But very weird.
Is Britney running her own social media accounts?
Fans have been quick to notice that the tone and topics that are being shared on Britney’s Instagram in 2022 have been pretty out of character.
She shared a now deleted post dedicated to her sister and how proud she is of her. The same sister who she said was abusing her too under the conservatorship.
Why would she write that????
But perhaps the weirdest thing that has happened in 2022 regarding Britney is her…marriage.
What’s with Britney’s wedding?
Upon first glance, Britney’s wedding ceremony looked like a quaint but gorgeous event, attended by her close friends in the industry – namely Madonna and Paris Hilton.
But it wasn’t long before fans realised that all of the videos of the night had Britney herself missing. Only Sam and his sisters and other wedding guests were in the videos dancing on the dance floor.
Sam’s (the husband) sisters also uploaded Instagram Story Highlights of the wedding, titling the album “Sam’s Wedding” … who did he marry, girl?!
His sisters also didn’t bother getting a photo with Britney herself. Not only is this weird because it’s their supposed sister-in-law now but it is Britney Spears. What?
There’s also the issue of her ex husband, Jason, turning up uninvited. He live streamed gatecrashing and from the video it was clear the mansion was dead.
Afterwards he claimed the only person he could find on the land was Sam who would not show him where Britney was. (He also claims Britney reached out to him for help, who knows at this point?)
Britney’s birthday
Britney’s 2022 birthday celebrations in December had minimal coverage on her socials.
There was a video uploaded of Sam lighting birthday candles and Britney behind the camera saying thank you. Search it on TikTok or YouTube, her voice sounds exactly like a recording. I don’t believe for one moment it was her actual voice behind the phone.
Why would she not post a photo of herself celebrating her birthday? Or why wouldn’t he post a photo of her? Is it because they weren’t together?
The balloons video
Sam has told the world that he has a green screen room and shown Instagram videos of how he can create very realistic videos on his computer software.
So when he posted a video in front of some birthday balloons asking Britney to hurry up and the balloons for one split second moved in front of his face…fans’ brains went straight to his green screen room.
The video is so weird. You can see the TV on in the background, Britney and another woman supposedly chatting in the background, but there is NO NOISE!!!!!!

The deleted posts and disabled comments
‘Britney’ keeps uploading, deleting and re uploading random photos and videos of herself to Instagram. (Search on TikTok or YouTube “Britney deleted posts”.)
Each time, the caption will change, and will not really make much sense. We know that Britney is coherent when she speaks and types, as she was very well spoken when her conservatorship was ending.
Some speculate she is typing the captions herself and they come across incoherent because she is having withdrawal symptoms from medication she was on for years. This makes sense.
Other speculate her family members are typing her captions and posting for her to make her look unstable. This worries me.
Hers and Sam’s comments got disabled in early December when fans started commenting asking if she is okay, urging her to do an Instagram Live to show it is her and she is well, and asking Sam where she is.
I strongly believe that if Britney was seeing these comments from her fans and was fine she would respond to them. The same way she reached out to fans when she first became free.
During the original Free Britney movement era, she founds cryptic ways to communicate with her fans by doing things in videos that they asked her to do. So it isn’t completely illogical to think she may be sending messages to fans now, if it is her on her socials.
Where do we go from here?
I want to point out I have only written this because it has been playing on my mind and I am going mad. I don’t want people to forget about her and assume she is fine now.
This is not conspiracy theorists going mad. This is fans spotting signs in their idol that they have been right about before.
Britney, more than anyone, has a right to privacy but I believe it would be very irresponsible to just ‘leave her to it.’ Just because she shouldn’t be chased down the street, it doesn’t mean that silence is an option.
Myself, and many others, will not rest until we see Britney herself state that she is fine.

Britney has uploaded a reel of her wearing a red outfit and just put the caption as “RED 😘 😘😘 !!!”
During the OG Free Britney era, Britney used the colour red to send messages to her fans that something was up.
